Technical or support staff, often referred to as the ‘entourage,’ can also accompany eligible creative workers, making it an inclusive visa option for those in the field.
Visa Requirements for Creative Workers:
To qualify for the Temporary Work – Creative Worker Visa, you must meet the following criteria:
- Have a job offer from a sponsor holding a valid Temporary Work – Creative Worker sponsor license, complete with a valid Certificate of Sponsorship relevant to your role.
- Earn a minimum salary as specified by Equity, PACT, or BECTU (excluding models, musicians, or circuses).
- Demonstrate genuine intent and capability to perform the sponsored role, without seeking alternative employment.
- Maintain personal savings to support yourself while in the UK.
- Ensure your application aligns with the general grounds for approval.
- Provide a valid TB certificate if required.
- Obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization when necessary.

Certificate of Sponsorship Requirement:

Your sponsor may or may not be your direct employer.
Financial and Language Requirements:
Ensure you have a minimum of £1,270 in your bank account, held for at least 28 days, with the period ending no more than 31 days before your Creative Worker Visa application date.

Visa Duration and Extensions:
Upon approval, the Temporary Work – Creative Worker Visa allows you to stay in the UK for up to 12 months or the duration specified on your Certificate of Sponsorship, plus an additional 14 days before and after the granted period, whichever is shorter.
You can extend your stay for a maximum of 24 months if you wish to continue working with the same sponsor. However, changing employers may limit your stay to 12 months.
Settlement and Switching:

Extensions for Creative Workers are generally decided within 8 weeks. Expedited decisions can be secured within 5 days via the Priority Service or by the end of the next working day through the Super Priority Service.
